This is how EERIE all started…

Once upon a time in the year 2003 I was sitting in my Geography class at my wonderful high school (Upland High School) doing a whole lot of learning. I was thinking on what I really wanted to do in my life. It seemed like everyone else knew what they wanted to do for the rest of their lives, but I really had no idea. As I sat there and thought of what I really like to do I came up with the idea of starting a clothing company.
This idea slowly started to become reality as I worked on the name and logo. At this time I was only a Freshman and no one really had their own clothing company unlike now. I came up with the name of EERIE when I was looking through the dictionary one day in class. My art has never really been normal so I seemed eerie best suited the company.

The first shirts ever done was actually me drawing on them with a sharpie and iron-ons. I did not sell any of those it was more for myself and to get people to see it. Money was slim to none at the time so getting shirts printed professionally was out of the picture. I started designing more and more and pretty much all the things I drew up was a shirt design. Once I saved up enough money and had a good amount of “shirt designs” I decided to look for places who would print them. I came up with the idea why not start printing them myself.
By the time I had enough funds to purchase a press I was a junior, and I had a good amount of designs to print. It arrived on day, so I skipped the next few days of school and printed all day long. Excited to come back to school the next week with shirts at hand. Sold as many as I could to friends and even at shows.
Two weeks out of high school classes started for me at the Art Institute of Orange County where I tried to focus more and more on EERIE. A lot of shirt designs were made but only a few were printed because college was my main focus and then came EERIE.
After 3 years solid of learning anything and everything to better me as a designer, EERIE is back into full swing! A few seasons were released during my college years, but now it is all different. With networking with many different companies and learning each and everyday, I am ready to make future mine. I personally thank each and everyone who has stuck by my side and supported EERIE through thick and thin. I appreciate it very much and ask you…are you ready to write the future?
